Last weekend, Sport reported that Palmeiras are willing to offer a €25 million (£20m/$26m) transfer fee to sign Roque permanently from Barcelona. Accordingly, the Blaugrana were preparing to bring back the striker from his loan spell at Real Betis, however, Jijantes reported on Monday that La Liga will not authorise the transfer as the Catalan giants will have to first end his loan spell and re-register the Brazilian before then can sell him to Palmeiras. The transfer window is currently closed in Spain and as a result, the above process cannot go through. Also, as per La Liga regulations, Betis cannot loan out a player whom they have registered on a loan deal.
