Manchester United have been encouraged to pursue Leicester City’s goalkeeper Mads Hermansen.
Former United player Paul Parker has described the current starting goalkeeper Andre Onana as “useless” and believes that manager Ruben Amorim should consider bringing in Hermansen next summer.
Parker feels that Hermansen “possesses everything” and is the key reason why Ruud van Nistelrooy’s team still has a shot at Premier League survival this season, currently sitting five points from safety in 19th place with 11 matches remaining.
“In an ideal world, Man United should buy a new goalkeeper to replace Onana. He’s just not good enough, and I don’t think he even looks like a goalkeeper at all,” said Parker.
“Right now, I think (Altay) Bayindir should get a chance, but in the long run, the club should go for Mads Hermansen, who has single-handedly kept Leicester somewhat afloat this season.
“I think he has it all. He’s a fantastic shot-stopper, he’s good with his feet, and he has a strong attitude.
